Saints Women Sweep Weekend at Home

Saranac Lake- The Saints Women's Basketball team had a strong weekend at home with a pair of wins over Finger Lakes CC and Cayuga CC.

On Saturday, in a 75-47 victory against Finger Lakes, the Saints used their outside shooting to take down the Lakers hitting 12 threes for the game on 21 attempts. DaVyne Johnson, Brionna Foster, and Makayla Birchett each hit four from beyond the arc. The Saints shared the ball well to create a lot of opportunities and finished with really 27 assists on 31 field goals for the game.  The Saints also won the battle on the glass out-rebounding the Lakers 37-18. Foster led all Saints scorers with 17 while Johnson, Birchett, and Mikenna House each added 16.

On Sunday afternoon, North Country used a 20-12 run in the second quarter which proved to be the difference in the final score 64-56. Sharing the ball proved big for the Saints again as they recorded 18 assists on 23 field goals. Ondrae'yah Davis paced the Sants with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists. DaVyne Johnson an Makayla Birchett each added 15 for the Saints. With the wins, the Saints improved to 9-11 (4-5 conference) on the season.
