Tucker Leads Saints Past Timberwolves

SARANAC LAKE — The North Country Community College women's basketball team was firing on all cylinders against SUNY Adirondack Wednesday.

The Saints drained 16 three-pointers as they defeated the Timberwolves 74-38. The victory improves North Country to 14-9 overall and 10-7 in conference play.

Romeira Tucker was on triple-double alert as she finished with 25 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists. Also finishing in double figures for the Saints were Bridget Rust (12), Sydney Craig (13) and Brooke Howell (10).

"We shared the ball great offensively," North Country coach Jerrad Dumont said. "Offensively, it was the game of the least amount of dribbles. We just moved the ball really well. It was the best game we have played all year."

SUNY Adirondack was led by Amber Yarter, who finished with 11.

The Saints will hit the road to face Hudson Valley Feb. 11 at 1 p.m.
