With ten freshman on the 2013-2014 women's basketball roster, freshman guard Courtney Boyea has helped to lead the Saints to a very successful 16-11 regular season record.  Recently, Boyea was named to the 2014 All-Mountain Valley Athletic Conference Basketball Team for her overall good play in her very successful freshman season.  Within her freshman year, Boyea has averaged 9ppg, 6.1 rpg, 2.4 apg and 2.2 spg. 

"Courtney does everything that is asked of her and is an all around class act" Coach Dumont stated after hearing about her All Conference honors.  "She works hard each and every day and exactly the type of student-athlete that we want to represent our program.  She has a 3.8 GPA, never misses class, and most importantly cares not only about herself but about her teammates". 

Courtney is an Individual Studies major at North Country and is looking to persue a career as a teacher.  She is also the daughter of Steve and Anne Boyea of Chateaugay, NY.
