Saints Drop Tough Game at Hudson Valley

Troy, NY- The Saints Women's Soccer team dropped a tough game on the road at Hudson Valley Wednesday evening, 2-0.

The Vikings struck once in the first half and then added an insurance goal later in the second stanza.

"It was a tail of two halves.", said Saints Coach Kent Egglefield. "The controlled the first and we controlled the second."

The Saints managed to outshoot Hudson Valley 13-9, but couldn't find the back of the net.

Samantha Hayes recorded 7 saves in the Saints net. Brionna Foster and Franziska Moderegger played solid games in the midfield for the Saints with Moderegger recording a game high 5 shots on net.

"We played well... we just need to find some goals pretty quick." added Egglefield.

The Saints have a ten day break between games and return to action Saturday the 30th at Finger Lakes CC.

GOAT of the Game

Our GOAT of the game is Brionna Foster from Brasher Falls, NY. "Breezy" had her strongest game of the season by being hard to the ball on defense and patient and creative on offense. She beat her defender all night and helped to generate several scoring chances for the Saints.
