The Lady Saints soccer team posted a convincing win on the road at Vermont Tech on Saturday 9-0. The win moves North Country to 5-0 on the season. 

Skyelin Bradford, Mikenna Valentine, and Chloe Flannaghan each scored two goals for the Saints, while Carlijn van der Smeede, Jenny Dejung, and Alyssa Summo each added one. van der Smeede also added two assists and Emily Jablonski, Claire Fletcher, Abby Hart, Marie Sibbing, and Flannaghan had one each. 

Alison Van Schaik stopped two shots in net for her third consecutive shutout. 

"Our defense was outstanding today." Coach Kent Egglefield said. "Audri (Tehonica), Averi (Fields), Marie (Sibbing), and Jenny haven't gotten all the credit they deserve. Our offense may be high powered, but our defense and keeper may be our strongest assets. Our GAA through the first five games is only 1.20. They've had 3 consecutive shutouts."

"Jenny Dejung has been outstanding all season. She's our lockdown defender and she hasn't allowed a single goal or assist to any of her marks this year. It was great to see her get a goal today. She is by far the heart and sole of this team."

The Saints have a big week ahead starting on the road Wednesday against Jefferson Community College. Game time is 2PM. 

Our GOAT of the game against Vermont Tech goes to Jenny Dejung. Our captain on defense helped secure another shutout and with her hustle and hard work, also contributed a goal. She is the engine to our machine and no one could be prouder of her.
