Saints Men Complete Weekend Sweep Against Erie

Saranac Lake- For the first time this season the saints had all their players available and it showed. The Saints opened the scoring just 2 minutes into the game when Hayden Brimelow slotted home a pass from Martin Garbonov.

The Saints would continue to pressure the Erie defense, Brimelow would add his second of the game, again on a pass from Garbonov.

Goals kept coming for the Saints as they would score 2 goals in 4 minutes, the first coming from Mathew Davey off a pass from Rijad Cecunjanin.

Garbonov would be rewarded for his unselfishness this weekend and score off a pass from Keith Vivlamore.

Cecunjanin would score the final goal of the first half off a pass from Steven Jamarie to bring the Saints to a 5-0 lead. Erie scored early in the second half, but the Saints would hold off any more attacking chances from them. After collecting a pass from Mathew Davey, Brimelow would cut the ball in and bend it around the keeper and off the post to finish off his hattrick.

"Today was another good win for the team" Stated Saints Coach Wayne Cowan " today and yesterday really showed what we can do when we play our game properly"

On the day Hayden Brimelow would score 3 goals, Martin Garbonov would add 1 goal and 2 assists, Mathew Davey a goal and an assist, Rijad Cecunjanin a goal and an assist, Steven Jamarie an assist, and Keith Vivlamore an assist. John Miller made 8 saves for the Saints.

" Today was a good day for the team we moved the ball very well today, we created a lot of chances again today, we did come out flat in the second half but we brought it back together and finished the game strong as a team" Added Cowan
