Saints Men Win at Adirondack

The Saints struggled in the first half against Adirondack CC on Wednesday in a tough Region III Match-up but still came away with a 90-84 victory.

Adirondack came out strong, running the floor and getting into transition, capitalizing on the struggles that North Country was having in the first half.

The Saints scored only 36 points in the first half and trailed the Timberwolves by 7 points.

After a few changes the team made at halftime on the defensive end of the ball, the Saints were able to climb back into the game and exchanged the leads with ACC toward the end of the second half.  In the end, the Saints tough defense and rebounding held strong to pull out the victory.

Preston Bourda Jr led the Saints with 20 points while Ryan Previna and Brady Yando each tallied 18 on the night to help lead the Saints.  Cameron Knox was an animal on the glass pulling down 17 rebounds and scoring 15 points on just 6-9 shooting.

Saints Coach Jerrad Dumont stated, "We played a tough team on the road and were able to sneak out a victory.  Any time you can win on the road in this region it is a good day."
