Saints Men Sweep First Road Trip of Second Semester

The North Country Saints Men's basketball team traveled to Onondaga CC on Saturday January 14th and were able to pull out a112-97 victory over a sharp shooting squad in Allen Hall. 

The Saints were led with some sharp shooting of their own on Saturday with four players in double figures. Preston Bourda Jr led NCCC with 34 points and 6 assists. Cameron Knox added 25 points and 9 rebounds. Brady Yando chipped in with 23 points shooting 6-12 from three, and Jahmir Bloom followed with 20 points shooting 6-9 from three. 

The Saints scored a season high 112 points in Allen Hall which gave them much confidence going into the game at Jefferson Community College on Sunday.

In Watertown NY on Sunday, the Saints were able to tough out a very hard fought win against a very talented Jefferson CC squad.  The Saints were led again by Preston Bourda Jr who scored 29 points to go with 4 rebounds and 6 assists.  Ryan Previna also dominated for the Saints on Sunday going 7-11 from the floor and scoring 17 points in the win for the Saints. 

After the game Saints Coach Jerrad Dumont stated "We played very tough on the road this weekend, winning against two very talented teams.  I was most pleased with our toughness on the defensive side of the ball as well as how we shared it on offense."

The Saints will travel of Adirondack CC on Wednesday for a 7:00 PM Tip-off.
