The North Country Men's Basketball team have named sophomores Tyquan Pointer & Ja'quan McGill along with freshman Damon Hunter, Tri-Captains for the 2016-17 season.

Ja'quan McGill-

McGill, a sophomore small forward, returns to the Saints after a promising freshman year. The Rochester, NY native believes big things are on the horizon this season for the Saints.

Tyquan Pointer-

Pointer, a sophmore combo-guard, returns after a strong freshman year to lead the backcourt. Last season, pointer averaged 6.5 points per game and made 33 three pointers.

"Last season was a great ride," said Pointer. "But this year we need to take it even farther. We want big rings this time. Failure will not be an option."

Damon Hunter-

Hunter, a freshman point guard, is new to the program this season. Hunter brings strong leadership to the program despite being a freshman.

"Damon has a great presence about him." said Head Coach Daryl Crist. "He gets what we are trying to do here and has really stepped up his game to do it. He doesn't back down from any challenge."

"I'm happy Coach Crist has the confidence in me to make me a leader," said Hunter. "I won't let him or this team down. We got a ring to chase!"
