Volleyball Helps Out at Ironman 2019

The North Country Women's Volleyball team recently volunteered in the 2019 IronMan Lake Placid 70.3 triathlon. During the race, the team cheered on the athletes as they ran by their aide station while handing out refreshments to help boost the athletes' energy. The team also provided the music and speakers for Aide Station #5 which helped bring life to the athletes as they were heading down the last part of the triathlon.

First year head coach, Tim Lamay said, "Volunteering for community events such as this is something that our program will continue to do this season and in the future. Being involved in the community is very important to our program culture and falls under our core value of being good people. It was a great experience and opportunity for our athletes and all of us as a program surely enjoyed it."
