Saints Roll to Fifth Straight Win with 8-0 Victory Over SUNY Broom

Binghamton, N.Y. — The North Country Community College Saints women's soccer team continued their hot streak on Saturday, defeating SUNY Broome 8-0 for their fifth straight win.

Freshman forward Talia Brammah led the way with a dominant performance, scoring four goals and adding an assist. Ella Rejiba followed with two goals and three assists, continuing her strong season as the Saints' leading scorer.

Serena Stevens and Ruby Owen also found the back of the net, with Owen adding two assists. Alice Hanning and Vivian Smith each chipped in with an assist as well.

Goalkeeper Hannah Gaddor made four saves to earn the shutout as the Saints defense—anchored by Gabby Dedrick, Maddalena Gallo, Korrine Bly, and Claire Murphy —turned in another strong performance.

"I thought our defense played really well today," said Saints head coach Kent Egglefield. "We didn't allow many shots, our midfield led by Ella controlled most of the game, and Talia was outstanding up front—she just couldn't be contained. Ruby also did a great job in the midfield... she's really stepped up, and Hannah was solid again as always in goal. The defense has really come together well."

The Saints 6-2-1 will look to extend their winning streak to six when they face Bryant & Stratton College on Sunday in Syracuse.

GOAT of the Game

Our GOAT of the game versus Broome was Ruby Owen. Ruby scored the first goal of the game and added two assists. Playing in a new position, she showed tremendous leadership and composure, providing a calming presence in the midfield. Congratulations, Ruby — we're super proud of you!
