Rejiba, Moody-Durant Lead Lady Saints Past Broome

Binghamton, NY- Ella Rejiba and Madison Moody-Durant each scored twice to lead North Country to an 8-0 victory over Broome CC. Saturday. 

The Saints took a 3-0 lead in the first half on goals by Rejiba (2) and Moody-Durant. 

"Ella and Maddy stepped up big in the first half to get us going." said Head Coach Kent Egglefield. "I was excited to see Maddy get her first career goal. She works hard and earned it."

The Saints opened the flood-gates in in the second half on goals from Abby LaFountain, Franziska Moderegger, Alice Hanning, Moody-Durant again, and Riley Paschke. Kailey Barnes and Hanning added 2 assists each, with Brionna Foster, Moderegger, Rejiba, and Emma Byl each adding a helper.

Hannah Gaddor made just 2 saves on the day for her 3rd shutout of the season. The Saints outshot the Hornets 26-2. 

The Saints imprved to 3-1-1 on the season and have outscored their opponents 29-4. 

North Country hits the road Saturday and Sunday with games at Vermont State Randolph and #6 Community College of Rhode Island.

 

Our GOAT of the Game is freshman center mid, Ella Rejiba from Halifax, England. Ella scored two first half goals and added an assist in the victory over Broome. Ella's ability to finish gave the Saints the boost they needed to open the game. She leads the Saints in scoring on the season with 9 goals and 6 assists through 5 games. Her 24 points ranks 4th in both Region 3 and Nationally while playing three less games then the leaders. Congrats to you Ella! Very well deserved!
