Syracuse, NY- The North Country Saints Women's Soccer Team dropped their first road game of the season 2-0 to defending Region 3 champion Onondaga.
The game was back and forth until the Lazers scored with two minutes to go in the first half. They would score their second and final goal in the first minute of the second half.
"I liked our compete level today, but we have to capitalize on ourscoring chances." stated Saints coach Kent Egglefield.
Shots on goal were fairly equal with Onondaga having a 12-10 advantage. Hannah Gaddor made 10 saves for the Saints.
The Saints hit the road again Sunday for a 1:00pm match at Herkimer College.
Our GOAT of the game goes to center back Claire Murphy from Ogdensburg, NY. Claire and the rest of the defense had a very strong game against OCC. Claire stepped up and stopped several attacks from the Lazers, using her speed and physicalness to keep the game close throughout. Congrats Claire!
