Saranac Lake- The Saints opened their season with a 6-0 win over Corning CC to win the BEK1nd Memorial Cup. Six different Saints scored with Ella Rejiba and Breezy Foster each picking up a goal and an assist.
Cup MVP Riley Paschke and the entire defense held strong all day and Hannah Gaddor made 7 saves for her first career shutout. She also assisted on the first goal of the game by Foster just :38 seconds in. Emily Horton, Abby LaFountain, Kailey Barnes, and Franziska Moderegger added a goal each. The Saints hit the road Wednesday as they take on Onondaga Community College at 4:00pm.
Our first GOAT of the year goes to center mid Emma Byl. Emma dominated in the midfield and controlled the pace and tempo of the game offensively. She was also a huge help defensively winning several tackles in the midfield. Not to bad for her first game in America! Congrats Emma!!
