Valentine Puts Saints Back in the Win Column

Jamestown, NY- On a day where the Saints were still missing several key starters and were struggling to again produce any sustained attack, Mikenna Valentine took matters into her own hands and scored all of the Saints goals for a 3-0 victory over Jamestown. It was her second hattrick of the season as Valentine has now scored in all four Saints victories.

Valentine opened the scoring with a beautifully placed direct kick 20 minutes into the game and then added her second on a cross from Kate Kavanagh 15 minutes later. She'd complete her hattrick in the second half when she got behind the defense for a breakaway and was taken down from behind. She buried the PK for the Saints final goal.

"Mikenna is a beast." Saints Coach Kent Egglefield stated. "If she isn't the best forward in the region, I want to see the one who is."

Alison Van Schaik turned aside 4 shots for her 3rd shutout of the season and 10th of her career.

The Saints improved to 4-1 with the win.

The Saints return home on September 21st against Hudson Valley. Gametime is 2pm.

GOAT of the Game

Our goat of the game is Kylee Peterson from Chateaugay, NY. Kylee played all over the midfield for the Saints creating numerous turnovers and causing havoc. Kylee has a motor that won't quit and has been a key contributer to the Saints this fall. Congrats Kylee!!
