Valentine Leads NCCC Past Fulton-Montgomery

Mikenna Valentine scored two goals and added an assist as the Saints improved to 11-1 on the season with a 4-0 win over Fulton Montgomery. Valentine opened the scoring for the Saints in the first half cashing in a rebound and added her second on a direct kick to open the second half.

Of Valentine's game, Head Coach Kent Egglefield stated, "Mikenna did what Mikenna has done all season... score big goals when we needed them. Her and Sky play so well off of eachother."

Chloe Flannaghan and Serena Stevens each added a goal, while Skyelin Bradford and Marie Sibbing each added an assist.

The Saints received stellar play from their midfield all day. Flannaghan, Stevens, Abby Hart, Alyssa Summo, and Carlijn van der Smeede all had strong games for the Saints.

"Chloe put in one of her best performances of the season." said Egglefield. "She is our catalyst and we follow her lead. Her and Alyssa (Summo) work so perfect together. There is not a better midfileld in the region."

Alison Van Schaik made 5 saves in net for her 7th shutout of the season.

The Saints wrap up their regular season schedule this weekend with home games against Jamestown CC and Genesee CC. Game time is 1pm both days.

Our GOAT of the game goes to Chloe Flannaghan from Whitley Bay, England after her dominating performance. On top of scoring a goal, Flannaghan won every 50/50 ball she could get to and her passing played a huge role in the Saints ability to control possession. Her hustle and tenacity caused many turnovers in the midfield. Congrats to you Chloe! We are beyond lucky to have you!
