Saints Make Furious Comeback to Win In OT

Watertown- After falling behind 3-0 at the half, the Saints fought back to steal a 6-5 victory in the second overtime to down Jefferson Community College 6-5.

After scoring twice early in the second to close within one, Jefferson countered to regain a two goal lead. After that the Saints would score the next three goals to take a 5-4 lead before JCC scored to send it to OT with 2 minutes left in the game.

The Saints dominated the first OT outshooting Jefferson 7-0, but couldn't find the back of the net. 

At the start of the the second OT, Colby Reynolds zipped down the left side and hit a perfect cross that found Sasha Gray on the far post for the Golden Goal. 

Nidia DeArmaYero had her second consecutive hat trick and also added an assist. Alicia Cook had a 2 goals and an assist, while Gray added two assists to go with her game winner.  

On the day the the Saints outshot the Cannoneers 32-5. Anna Thrasher got the win in goal for the Saints.

Saints Head Coach Kent Egglefield explained, "that was the ugliest game I've ever witnessed at NCCC, but a win is a win."
