Saranac Lake- The North Country Saints Women's Soccer Team opened up the 2018 Region 3 schedule with a convincing 5-1 victory over Niagara County CC. The Saints took a 3-0 lead into half time on a pair of Alicia Cook goals. Freshman Nidia DeArmaYero tallied as well. 

The second half saw Niagara strike first on a penalty kick before DeArmaYero struck again. Freshman Taylor Razis would close out the scoring on the day with her first collegiate goal. 

Anna Thrasher stopped 3 shots in the Saints nets. NCCC outshot Niagara 18-4. 

"It was a good start to Region 3 play for us, but we still have a lot of work to do." stated Saints Coach Kent Egglefield. 

The Saints moved to 1-1 (1-0) on the season.
