Saints Split Weekend Series on the Road

The Saints opened the season with a 10-3 victory on the road over Niagara County CC on Saturday afternoon.  The Saints Started off slowly in the first half, but were able to pick up the pace in the second half scoring 7 times for a convincing victory.

Freshman Chloe Nott (Tamworth, Australia) tallied 4 goals and added 2 assists. Fellow frosh Julia Anderson (Salmon Arm, Canada) added 2 goals, while freshmen Jasmin Barnes, Alissa Snider, and Cassidy Daily each added their first collegiate goals. Sophomore Jadeen Chisholm added a goal and assist as well. Freshman Brittany Wilson had 3 assists and sophomore Jade Larkins added 2. Shelby Egnaczyk made 6 saves in net for the win. 

On Sunday, the Saints played to a 5-0 loss to Erie CC. With the score tied at zero, Erie found the back of the net with under 2 minutes left in the half. The Kats added to the lead early in the second half and the Saints weren't able to fight their way back in.

"Overall going 1-1 on our first trip of the year is not a bad thing." Saints Coach Kent Egglefield said. "We have a lot of girls with injuries right now that fought through to play this weekend."

The Saints take the field again this weekend with their first home games at 2pm Saturday vs. Corning CC and at 1pm Sunday vs. Finger Lakes CC.
