SARANAC LAKE — Talesa Campbell and Kayla Carder combined for 40 points and the North Country Community College women's basketball team got a strong defensive effort in a 78-56 victory over Herkimer Community on Wednesday.
Campbell led the way with 22 points and Carder added 18. Also hitting in double figures for the Saints were Lavender Ward with 14, Damoni Wells 11 and Dontasia Simpson, 10.
Brittani Campbell tossed in 17 points and Alexandra DeBeatham added 12 for the Generals.
"Kayla Carder and Talesa Campbell led us in scoring and with leadership throughout the game," North Country coach Jerrad Dumont said. "We had a great team defensive game, with great energy."
