Saranac Lake- Damoni Wells led the way with a game-high 18 points. Nine other Saints tallied including Kayla Carder who came away with a total of 15 points.

"We really dominated on the glass today against Corning. We really struggled to score in the first half only scoring 34 points. However, our defense was pretty good holding them to 32 points in three quarters," North Country coach Jerrad Dumont said.

"Damoni Wells really dominated with 18 points and really hit the offensive glass well with eight offensive rebounds. Kayla Carder also dominated the glass with 12 rebounds in the game."

SARANAC LAKE — The North Country Community College women's basketball team coasted to a 77-28 win over Finger Lakes Community College Sunday in Region III play.

The Saints had a balanced scoring attack, powered by Damoni Wells' 13 points and Lavender Ward's 12.

As great as North Country's offense was, it's defense was even better. "I thought that our team defense was phenomenal today, holding them to only 11 points in the first half. Also our rebounding and transition offense was stellar," Saints coach Jerrad Dumont said.
