Saints Men Fall To Jefferson

The North Country Saints Men's Soccer team dropped their third game in a row with a 5-1 loss to Jefferson Community College on Wednesday.

The Saints were outshot on the day 24-6. John Miler turned in a great performance in goal with 19 saves despite giving up 5 goals.

"John kept us in it all game.", said Head Coach Kent Egglefield. "He made a lot of big saves and played great. The score doesn't reflect his effort."

Sebastian Smith scored the lone Saints goal on the day late in the contest. Terrance Clayton-Murphy picked up the assist.

Egglefield added, "We've got to clean up our fundamentals. We're trying to do too much instead of keeping it simple."

Rijad Cecunjanin and Will Anderson turned in strong performances for the Saints.

North Country returns home this weekend for a pair of games with Onondaga CC and Hudson Valley. Both games are 3pm starts.
