The Saints Men's Soccer team dropped a hard fought game to Word of Life 5-1 Wednesday afternoon.

Word of Life put three on the board in the first half and held off a strong Saints effort in the second half.

"No matter the score, these boys compete and leave it all on the field." Saints Coach Kent Egglefield said. "They don't give up and push to the end."

"With only 12 men on the roster, we don't have the luxury of subbing in and out and keeping fresh legs like most teams do. We fight for every inch."

Terrance Clayton-Murphy got the Saints lone goal on the day in the second half on an assist from Sebastian Smith

John Miller and Smith combined to make 16 saves in the Saints net. Both Keepers were strong on the day.

The Saints received strong play from Devin Meachem, Rijad Cecunjanin, Will Anderson, and Clayton-Murphy on the day.

The Men's team takes the field again next Wednesday at Jefferson CC. Game time is 3 pm.
