North Country Men’s Basketball Sweeps the Weekend at Home

Saranac Lake- The North Country Saints men's basketball team earned two impressive home victories over the weekend.

On Saturday, the Saints opened the stretch by defeating a tough Jefferson CC squad. Shalom Seraphin led the way with 19 points and 6 assists, while Joseph Belton added 13 points on an efficient 3–4 shooting from beyond the arc. North Country controlled the boards throughout the game, finishing with a 41–34 rebounding advantage.

On Sunday, the Saints capped the weekend with a statement win over top-ranked Onondaga CC. North Country set the tone early with a 9–0 run and held the lead wire to wire. Seraphin delivered a dominant performance, scoring 31 points and grabbing 8 rebounds. Ziquan Roe contributed 11 points and 5 rebounds, and Devon Johnson chipped in with 10 points and 5 assists. The Saints once again controlled the glass, outrebounding the Lazers 42–35.

After the strong weekend, Coach Dumont praised his team's balance and depth, saying: "Although Shalom led us in scoring all weekend, we had four different players reach double figures in each contest. One of the things about this team is that I feel we are deep, and someone different can lead us in scoring each night."

North Country returns to action at home on Wednesday, November 19th at 7 p.m., when they host SUNY Adirondack.
