HERKIMER — The Herkimer Community College men's basketball team defeated North Country Community College 89-73 Saturday.

The Saints were not able to overcome a six-point halftime deficit.

Damon Hunter (23) and Malik Wilkinson (19) combined for 42 points to lead North Country.

"Their two big guys gave us a bit of a problem," North Country coach Daryl Crist said. 

"We struggled a little bit shooting the ball and were not able to get it back under 10 once they had stretched the lead out."

Pacing the Generals were Tyquan Scott (32) and Quari Alleyne (12).
