Saints win 96-91 over Finger Lakes in a Region III Shootout

NORTH COUNTRY 96, FINGER LAKES 91

SARANAC LAKE — The Saints stayed hot from long range all game long as they netted 17 3-pointers en route to defeating the Lakers by five at home.

North Country's offense was seemingly jumpstarted by Noah Guitymoore and Frane Larose, who combined for 47 points.

Guitymoore was feeling it from deep as he knocked down seven 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 28 points. Meanwhile, Larose added 19 points while hitting four from deep.

Peyton McLaurin and Brian Donaire also had big days on offense for the Saints, with McLaurin netting 16 points and Donaire adding 14. Stephen Paulk added 10 points from the bench.

North Country took a 47-43 lead into halftime and, with the offense firing on all cylinders, the Saints never looked back.

"To go 4-0 this week, it was definitely a very good week. We're excited. We shot the ball extremely well, and I was very pleased with how we shot it and shared it," North Country coach Chad LaDue said. "Our big guns came out ready to play, and I was pleased to see that."
