Saints Drop First Game of the Season

Syracuse, NY- The Saints fell behind early and never recovered dropping a 3-0 decision to Onondaga CC on September 7th.

Playing with out All-Region midfielder and last weeks Region 3 Player of the Week Chloe Flannaghan, the Saints couldn't muster enough presence through the midfield to help generate any offense or put pressure on OCC's.

"We have so many injuries right now, most games this year I've only had 1-2 subs." said Saints Coach Kent Egglefield. "But we will make no excuses. Its gotta be next man up. We cannot come even close to replacing what Chloe brings, but we have to at least execute."

"I cannot remember the last time we were shut out, but it's been a while." stated Egglefield. "Mikenna(Valentine) and Kate(Kavanagh) actually both had strong games up front, but attacking two on four is a lot to ask anyone."

Alisop Van Schaik turned aside 9 shots on goal for North Country.

The Saints now stand at 3-1 on the season.
