The North Country Saints Women's Soccer team opened up their 2022 season with a 9-0 victory over Adirondack CC.  

Sophomore Mikenna Valentine opened the scoring for North Country just six minutes into the game on a feed from Chloe Flannaghan, and the Saints never looked back.

Valentine would go on to finish the match with three goals and two assists, while Flannaghan added two goals and three assists. 

Freshman Kate Kavanagh chipped in with two goals and an assist, while Alexis Jackson and Abby Hart each added a goal. Carlijn van der Smeede added two assists. 

Alison Van Schaik turned aside four shots to earn the shutout. 

The Saints will be at home this weekend as they host the 1st annual BEK1ND Memorial tournament Saturday and Sunday vs. Middlesex CC. Saturdays game will be at 4:00pm, with Sunday's kickoff at 12:00pm. 

Keeping with last years tradition, our first GOAT of 2022 goes to defender Cassidy Rushby from Moriah, NY. Cassidy was rock solid defensively for the Saints helping to ensure the team shutout. Congrats Cassidy!
