Saints Fall to #1 Erie in Regional Semi-Finals

Buffalo- The Saints playoff run came to an end Thursday with a 6-0 loss the the Nations #1 ranked team. North Country surrendered a goal 5 minutes into the game but recovered to play well most of the first half. With 10 minutes left on the clock however, Erie CC was awarded a questionable PK to take a 2-0 lead. Still stunned over the call, NCCC surrendered 3 more goals before the half and went in trailing 5-0.

"The PK killed our energy and momentum." Saints Coach Kent Egglefield stated."I try to keep my mouth shut but that may have been the worst call I've seen in 20 years of coaching. But its not why we lost the game. We just ran into a machine."

Anna Thrasher started in net and made 6 saves before giving way to fellow sophomore Olivia Woolheater in the second half who made 8 saves.

"Its been an amazing year and I will never be able to say enough about my sophomores Kara, Olivia, Miakaela, Tameka, Alicia, Anna, and Katie." said Egglefield. "They have been above and beyond everything i wanted them to be. I couldn't be prouder.

The Saints finish the season 11-7-1.
