Saints Drop 3OT Thriller

SARANAC LAKE — It took three overtimes to decide a winner between the Spartans and the Saints.

Cayuga was able to make enough plays down the stretch in the third overtime to squeak past North Country.

The Saints' Shamar Logins, who finished with 24 points, got fouled on a 3-point attempt at the end of regulation. Logins knocked down all three free throws to send the game to overtime.

North Country's Jonathan Thornton, who finished with a team-high 25 points, knocked down a 3-pointer to force the second overtime.

"They just made one more play than us," North Country coach Daryl Crist said.

"Both teams played hard. It was a great game with triple overtime. They just were on the better end of it."
