SCHENECTADY — The Saints were able to defeat the Royals, 98-72 on Thursday night to open up the second semester. The Saints used good defense and got easy points in transition to soundly defeat Schenectedy CC.

North Country was led by Damon Hunter, who finished with 29 points.

"We ended up having a couple of good stretches on defense," North Country coach Daryl Crist said. "We had a lot of transition points. It was a fast-paced game, and our big guys did well on the boards."

The Saints hit the road for a twon game road trip beginning with a game vs. Elmira College JV on Sunday afternoon.
