Saints Take Down Lakers

CANANDAIGUA — North Country men's basketball coach Daryl Crist said Malik Wilkinson and Donte Crumpler's controlled the boards and were instrumental in the Saints' 75-71 win over Finger Lakes Sunday.

Wilkinson (12) and Crumpler (11) combined for 23 rebounds. Crumpler recorded a team-high 21 points in addition to seven offensive rebounds.

"Our big guys Malik Wilkinson and Donte Crumpler really dominated the boards and made offensive plays to get us a little bit of a lead," Crist said. "Tyquan Pointer knocked down a couple of big shots to seal the win."

Finger Lakes held a 40-38 lead at halftime. The Lakers' Jonathan Range fell short of a triple-double with 25 points, nine assists and eight rebounds.

North Country will face Paul Smith's College on the road Nov. 15 at 7 p.m.
