North Country defeats Paul Smith's

SARANAC LAKE — The North Country Community College men's basketball team has been on a roll lately, notching its fifth straight win Thursday by beating Paul Smith's College 81-44.

North Country was led by Frane Larose, who finished with 17 points, while Stephen Paulk finished with 13 points. Kyle Johnson scored a team-high 15 points for Paul Smith's.

With the win, North Country moves to 17-7, and coach Chad LaDue said he feels like the Saints are peaking at the right time.

"Part of it has been we have had five out of the last six games at home, and you always want to be playing your best basketball at the end of year," LaDue said. "We have been able to do it so far."
