North Country Sports Remain On Hold Until Fall 2021

On Tuesday, December 8th, Saints Athletics Director Chad LaDue issued a formal letter to the student body announcing the cancellation of sports for the 2021 spring semester. The Saints plan to be all systems go for the fall semester. Below is the letter issued by LaDue.

Dear Saints,

North Country Community College will continue for the Spring 2021 academic semester with a mostly remote and some on-campus courses, and in compliance with required and recommended health and safety protocols for the academic setting.

Unfortunately, due the challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic and to protect the health and safety of our students and the campus community, the college has made the difficult decision to suspend all athletic competition for the Spring 2021 semester.  This decision is in line with majority of colleges in Region III.

At the core of every discussion surrounding athletics during these difficult times is the health, safety, and well-being of our athletes, coaches, staff, and our entire North Country Community College community.  I'm sure you share in my disappointment that we are not able to play but know when the time comes for us to return in Fall 2021, we will do so with a shared passion and dedication to excellence.

Saints, we still have high expectations for all of you.  We are working diligently to continue to develop remote support of your academic and athletic goals.  Our department and coaching staff will remain in contact with you as we go through this difficult time together.

Thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at any time.

Sincerely,

Chad LaDue, Director of Athletics
