Five Freshman Added to 2019 Volleyball

First year Head Women's Volleyball Coach, Tim Lamay is announcing the addition of the 2019 Freshman Class.

#2 - Joline Lehman - MH

Joline comes to North Country from Remsen, NY where she was a multi-sport athlete. Jo will play in the Middle Hitter position for the Saints in the 2019 season.

"Jo offers us some great versatility in her position as she excels on both sides of the ball. Her ability to find holes in the opposing team's defense will be an asset to our program" said Coach Lamay.

 

#5 - Valerie Titus - OH

Val comes to North Country from Chateaugay Central School in Chateaugay, NY. She will be a six rotation player in the Outside Hitter position for NCCC this season.

"Val is going to have a great career here at North Country. Her athleticism and volleyball knowledge combine to give her a huge advantage in both passing and attacking. I am looking forward to watching her grow as a volleyball player" said Coach Lamay.

 

#7 - Katera Poupore - S

Katera is a native of Ellenburg, NY where she attended Northeastern Clinton Central School. Kat will help to lead the attack for the 2019 Saints team as the primary setter.

"I am so glad that Kat is joining us this season. It's never easy to join a young program as a new setter, but she is off to a great start. Her relentless pursuit of the ball is a huge help to our defense and her volleyball knowledge around setting continues to grow every day" said Coach Lamay

 

#11 - Montana Dermott - RS

Montana comes to NCCC from Chateaugay Central School. She is a native of Burke, NY. Montana will serve as the Saints Right Side Hitter in Coach Lamay's first year at the helm.

"Montana is going to be a great addition to our young program. Her aggressive serve will help us rally points together in a hurry. She is a skilled passer and smart hitter. We are happy to have her on our team" - said Lamay

 

#19 - Keyana Johnson - MH

Keyana joins the North Country program after attending Potsdam Central. Key will be blocking and attacking from the Middle Hitter position this season for NCCC.

"Key is a strong hitter. Her height and power will be tough for teams to stop this season. Her blocking and hitting are fun to watch and tend to be a crowd favorite" said Coach Lamay
