Alicia Cook paced NCCC with a pair of goals and Katie Holvik and Danielle Charland added a goal each in the win.
Cook, Charland, Kate Stevens and Danielle Cook each recorded an assist for the Saints, who improved to 7-8-1 overall with the win.
NCCC finished with an overwhelming 19-2 edge in shots. Sophomore Vanessa Garrow had a strong peformance under pressure in the Cougars' net and finished with 15 saves. Anna Thrasher made two stops in goal for the Saints.
NCCC had plenty of scoring chances early on and finally got on the scoreboard with just under four minutes remaining in the opening half when Charland got behind the Cougars defense after receiving a through ball from Alicia Cook. Charland broke in on Garrow, sidestepped the goalie with a move toward the left corner of the net and scored on a low shot.
The Saints then scored three times in a span of 13 minutes in the second half to seal the win.
