Egnaczyk Wins National Honors.... Again!

For the second time in the last three weeks, North Country Saints goalkeeper Shelby Egnaczyk has won Division III National Goalie of the Week.

Egnaczyk's six shutouts in her last seven games gave her the nod once again as the sophomore allowed just one goal against in the teams seven game win streak to end the season. On the season Egnaczyk posted a Saints record for shutouts and posted an amazing 1.88 Goals Against Average. Egnaczyk finished third in the Region in saves and posted an .809 save percentage.

Egnaczyk leaves the Saints with 11 career shutouts, a 1.76 GAA, and a career .802 save percentage. She has 29 career starts, 17 career wins, and 1 tie for a 17-11-1 career record. She recently was named First Team All-Conference.

"With all due respect to others, Shelby is the best to ever come through this program," said Saints Coach Kent Egglefield. "She can never be replaced as a player. Her skill, her leadership, her focus, her toughness, her preparation... I've never seen anything like it. She is simply amazing. I couldn't be prouder."
