Stanton and Blair Named 2017 Lacrosse Captains

For the second year in a row, Laura Stanton will lead the North Country Saints Lacrosse team as their captain. The sophomore Attack was also team captain her freshman year leading the Saints in scoring and earning team MVP honors. Joining Stanton this year will be sophomore Defender Cheyenne Blair. The second year defender started every game during the Saints inaugural season.

"Laura was a great leader as a freshman and has continued that throughout our preseason this year." said Saints Coach Kent Egglefield. "She's one of the best Attack players in the region and I think she is primed for another huge season."

On Blair, Egglefield added, "Cheyenne stepped up on defense last year and was always steady on the backend. I think she will have a great impact on the rest of the defense as most of them are all freshman."
