SARANAC LAKE — The Saints clinched the Mountain Valley Collegiate Conference regular-season championship Saturday, beating Herkimer 89-53.
Jasmine Cruse poured in a team-high 16 points for the Saints, while Kiara Sweeney (13), Bailee Gauthier (12) and Ty Taylor (11) also contributed to the North Country scoring attack on Senior Day.
"We shared the ball well, and I am happy for our sophomores," Saints coach Jerrad Dumont said. "It was a great game for all of them."
The Generals' Nylasia Sutton scored a game-high 24 points.
North Country will enter the NJCAA Region III tournament as the No. 2 seed and host Hudson Valley Tuesday.
