On Monday June 15th the North Country Community College women's basketball team released their schedule for the 2015-2016 basketball season.  For the first time in school history the Saints will play 30 regular season games, consisting of 22 Region III contests and 8 non-conference contests.

The Saints 22-game regional schedule will feature seven teams that competed in the 2014-15 postseason. The Saints complete schedule, including the eight non-conference games will consists of four top quality opponents from the states of North Carolina and Maryland.

"This non-conference schedule is the toughest non-conference schedule in school history, but my goal is to test our team early and often to help prepare them for our regional tournament in March," Coach Dumont stated.

Head Coach Jerrad Dumont(8th season) will travel with his team during the college's thanksgiving break to North Carolina where they will take on division II powerhouse Guildford Tech as well as divsion III Central Carolina community college.  On the way back from North Carolina the Saints will head to Gold's Gym on the campus of Hagerstown community college in Maryland where they will play in a Division I junior college tournament.

This non-conference schedule figures to be the toughest we have ever had, and I know our players can't wait to take on this challenge Coach Dumont stated.  With our tough returning Sophomores as well as the talented and versatile freshman, I am very excited to see what the upcoming season will bring.

The North Country women's baskebtall team will open its regular-season schedule on the road against rival Clinton community college on Wednesday, Nov. 4.
