Head Coach Jerrad Dumont is very excited about not only his returning players but also the great group of freshman that he has coming in for the 2014-2015 basketball season. The Saints will look for some leadership from the eight returners that they have rejoining the team as well as some strong efforts from their freshman class.
Coach Dumont will welcome twelve newcomers to the roster this season including section X standouts Morgan Fountain (Malone, NY) and Abby Barnes (Chateaugay, NY). Section VII standouts Sarah Slattery (Moria, NY), Emily Larson (Peru, NY), and Tessa Pelossi (Corinth, NY) will also look to help lead the saints this season. Coach Dumont and the Saints women's basketball team will also welcome players from the Buffalo, New York City, and even some talented kids from different states around the country.
"I am very excited about this years freshman class, i think that they will all be able to contribute to our program and most importantly they are all great kids that i know will do well academically." Coach Dumont stated. "It is very important to me that we continue our reputation of having our students athletes graduate".
North Country Women's Basketball will open their season with a game against Landmark College on Sunday November 2nd in Sparks Athletic Complex.
