Saranac Lake- LeShaun Smith Jr. piled up 32 points to power the Saints to a victory. The Saints jumped out to a hot start and had a 44-27 lead at halftime.
"North Country started out strong in the start of the game and led to the finish," North Country coach Daryl Crist said. "Good Region III win (in the) first game of the year."
Vondell Livingston (17) and Tarique Foggie (10) combined for 27 points to boost the Saints' offense.
Victor Roca dropped a team-high 19 points for the Timberwolves.
