North Country Men Beat Down Clinton on Senior Night

SARANAC LAKE — Damon Hunter racked up a triple-double to lead the North Country Community College men's basketball team to a 91-68 win over Clinton Community College Wednesday.

Hunter tallied 21 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds. Also finishing in double figures for the Saints were Ja'quan McGill (15), Sidney Alcena (14), Malik Wilkinson (14) and Donte Crumpler (11).

North Country will wrap up its regular season on the road against Herkimer Community College Feb. 25 at 1 p.m.

For the Cougars, Joshua Harriott (14) and Mathew Smiley (13) combined for 27 points.

"The biggest thing for us is that we played outstanding defense," North Country coach Daryl Crist said.

"We shared the ball really well and had five guys in double figures, which means when we spread it around we're pretty good."

North Countrty will face Herkimer County Community College on the road Feb. 25 at 3 p.m.
