Saints Smack Word of Life

SARANAC LAKE — On a three-game losing streak, the North Country Community College men's basketball team needed a win to bring back some confidence.

The Saints did just that by picking up a 95-49 victory over Word of Life Monday.

"They couldn't keep up with us defensively," North Country coach Chad LaDue said. "It was hard for them to handle our pressure, and it was nice because we got everyone in the game."

The Saints had 13 players in the game and 11 of them put points on the board for their team, four of which scored double figures. They were led in scoring by Frane Larose who hit 17 points. The other three players to score in double figures were Noah Guitymoore with 15, Malik Green with 12 and Grant Webb with 11.

North Country's next opponent is Clinton Community College.

"We have a big one on Wednesday against Clinton," LaDue said. "Bottom line, we have to play defense. We are one of the leading scoring teams in the conference, and if we stop guys, we can win."
