SARANAC LAKE — North Country Community College jumped out to a 23-1 lead, and it cruised from there.

Noah Guitymoore poured in a game-high 16 points as the Saints (4-1) defeated Word of Life 98-41 in a men's basketball game Thursday.

"I was very happy with how we started the game," North Country coach Chad LaDue said. "I was very pleased how all 14 guys played tonight. That's how we have to come out no matter who we're playing.

"Defensively, our pressure was tough for them to handle."

Brian Donaire recorded 13 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, and Erik Sudler and Tyquan Pointer also reached double figures with 10 points.

Jaquan McGill pulled down 13 rebounds, while Peyton McLaurin dished out seven assists. Frane Larose added six.

"Any group that was on the floor, shared it," LaDue said. "They shared it, (and) they took care of the basketball."

The Saints host Corning Community College at 2 p.m. Saturday before welcoming Finger Lakes Community College at 3 p.m. Sunday.

"Both will be very tough Region III matches," LaDue said.
