Saint's pressure leads to 108-87 win

Twenty-four hours removed from a 13-point loss at Fulton-Montgomery, the Saints (8-7) got back to business, reaching triple digits offensively.

"We tried not to settle for as many 3-point looks as we did a game ago," North Country Community College coach Chad LaDue said. "It's something we've talked about, and we just wanted to attack the rim and get to the line.

"We were able to use our depth, making it an up-tempo game. I think by the time it got to the end, we were able to go on a nice little run to put the game out of reach."

Michael Boyea (22), Daniel Trentsch (19), Matthew Gullotta (12), Ege Cinel (11) and Ivan Grcic (10) all reached double figures.

"All our guys really competed hard," LaDue said. "I wasn't too concerned with how we were going to come out. The message was clear as to what needed to be done. I was confident we were going to come out ready after a good practice Wednesday.

"I switched up the lineup a little bit, adding Daniel Trentsch and Thomas Barnes to the starting rotation. They combined for 28 points and did a nice job with their first start of the season. All in all, we played 11 guys on a regular basis and got all 17 in the game, so it was a good team win."

Gullotta reached double-double status, pulling down 13 rebounds to go along with his 12 points.

The Saints will play host to No. 4-ranked SUNY Delhi Saturday.
