The Saints struggle behind the arc

Onondaga 84, North Country 72
SARANAC LAKE — The Saints (4-5), who average 11 made 3-pointers per game, shot 2-of-21 from beyond the 3-point arc in their loss.
"Essentially, we started out slow," North Country assistant coach Joe Akey said. "We got down 10, and we cut it to three at halftime. We played really well getting back on defense. Then in the second half, for a three-minute stretch, it was a one-point game. We just couldn't make the shot to get us over the hump."
Onondaga reserve forward, Lloyd Parkmond led all scorers with 22pts.  "He had one total point before this game," Akey said. "He was not on film at all. That was completely unexpected. He dominated the post and the rim. We tried multiple defenders, and he did anything he wanted.
"We were still in the game, but we just could not hit or shoot all night. With the roster we have, if we don't shoot it well, we struggle."
Michael Boyea paced the Saints with 20 points. Daniel Trentsch added 15.
