North Country evened their record at 3-3 on the season with a 78-54 victory over the Elmira College JV. Michael Boyea paced the Saints with a game high 17 points, while Ege Cinel chipped in with 14.
"I thought our energy was very good," North Country coach Chad LaDue said. "We shared the basketball. We didn't shoot it particularly well, but it wasn't for lack of effort. All in all, it was a very good day for Saints basketball."
Thirteen different players scored for North Country. LaDue said Boyea played very well and Clement Gibson (8 pts., 6 steals) had his best game to date.
North Country returns to action on Saturday, when they travel to Binghamton, to take on Broome CC. Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
