The Saints come up short in season Opener.

The North Country Community College Men's Basketball team opened up their season on Wednesday Night with a hard fought lost to its rival Clinton Community College 82-63.

Thomas Barnes led the Saints with 13 points.  Nikola Cvetanovic chipped in with 10 points and Michael Boyea added nine.  Barnes, Cvetanovic and Boyea had three 3point field goals; 9 of our 11 for the game.  Freshman captain Matthew Gullotta lead the team with 12 rebounds.

Coach LaDue stated "With 15 freshman and 17 players that didn't wear a Saint's uniform last year it may take some time to get to the level we want, but I am very happy with how they compete each day and how hard they play".

North Country will head to Mohawk Valley Community College on Saturday November 9th for a tip off with the Hawks at around 1:00 PM.
